Ocelot
Components
- Schedule Manager: imports schedules from the content provider so that Ocelot is aware of the ad placement opportunities.
- Campaign Processor: imports campaign details from ad sales houses, so that Ocelot knows which audience segments a campaign is trying to reach, and the reach and frequency the campaign should achieve.
- Ad Copy Manager: imports ad copy into the system. Ocelot is pre-integrated with Clearcast for accessing cleared copy in the UK.
- Audience Manager: imports and maintains audience segmentation information from different sources
- Ad Trigger Processor: receives either out-of-band (SCTE-104) or in-band triggers (SCTE-35) which it converts into ad events that it inserts into the transport stream of the live channel
- Ad Decision Router: handles VAST requests from the client device, which it sends in response to an ad event/trigger. It will route/proxy the VAST request to an ad decision server, this may be BCi’s own Opportune content aware ADS or an external ADS such as Google Ad Manager or Freewheel
- Break Stitcher: stitches together an entire break of replacement ads and mirrored ads, it is used when whole break replacement is required.
- Ad Server: acts as an origin for stitched ad breaks and single ads.
- Impression Handler: handles impression and beacons from the client device, storing them of analysis and reporting.
- Reporting Service: provides reports on the service and campaigns. It can also export campaign data to external management and reporting systems.
- Orchestration and Database Services: All the components are built on a common orchestration layer that ensures that the Ocelot services are highly scalable and resilient.

- AdSmart: Ocelot supports both media partner and wholesale deployments of Sky AdSmart.
- HbbTV: Ocelot supports dynamic ad substitution for HbbTV and HbbTV-TA deployments.
- OTT simulcast and FAST channels: Ocelot can be used for addressable advertising in OTT simulcast broadcast channels and FAST channels. It can be used in both server-side and client-side ad insertion deployments.

BCi’s addressable advertising solutions support Sky’s AdSmart. They support both media partner and wholesale deployments.
HbbTV
Ocelot can be used for HbbTV and HbbTV-TA deployments, with dynamic ad insertion via full break or individual spot replacement.
